Yesterday was rougher than I expected.

18 years since 9/11.

I heard the news while listening to Howard Stern in the shower. I saw the flames in the first tower from my roof in Brooklyn. The dust overtook lower Manhattan, the river and then snowed debris on my street.

No way to contact my ex-wife. No idea what would happen next.

I’m a New Yorker. Born in Long Island. Brooklyn is home.

Yesterday was rougher than I expected.

Then I had my training sessions at the Speakeasy and felt better. No pun intended but the weight on my chest got lighter.

On a day when I will never forget the tragedy of 9/11, I was also reminded how much I love what I do. I’m always grateful for what I do for a living but yesterday was a deep reminder.

Thank you to the Fury Crew for the reminder. You lift me up as much (if not more) than I help you lift these kettlebells.

There is no Fury Industries without the Fury Crew.
